The vaccine passports are the first step to a Chinese-style social credit system. Once the mechanism is in place they will be able to add whatever criteria they like to the rules.
The system will be run by unelected, faceless bureaucrats so if you have any problems with it you will never be able to find out how to fix it. One day you could be prohibited from buying a plane ticket or a rail ticket for instance. You will not be told why and you will not know how you could change things. Perhaps you said some bad words about a politician on Facebook? Perhaps your Siri/Alexa/Cortana picked up some dissent? Or your phone reported you were in a restricted area?
In China, you lose credits if your friend is outspoken or has a poor score.
