What is the best app or way to buy crypto?
What crypto’s are you fans of? I am looking to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Currently have lots of silver and have xx shares of GME spread out between ComputerShare, Fidelity and WeBull. I am just trying to spread out funds to survive the upcoming financial crisis. Only my brother is really awake. My Dad is redpilled but not fully awake. My mom is a default Republican normie. Any help will be appreciated so I can help my family get through this.
Research the top ten and start there. Dabble a little. Flip a few in the top 10 for 2x gains. Get excited. Then start buying shit coins with spare change. Maybe get a few 10x'ers. Then get overconfident and go all in on some scam coin and lose your house.
No but seriously, just do your research. Get a feel for it. Learn how to transact. Don't get raped by transaction fees. Learn about hardware, software and exchange wallets. Start off small.
Regarding exchanges. Binance global is good for international anons. Coinbase is the defacto normie exchange for Americans.
By 'coinbase' we mean pro.coinbase.com.
The fees are a fraction of what is charged at coinbase.com.
Start small. Do not act rashly or give in to FOMO.
Educate yourself. If you plan to hodl instead of trade then send your coins to your own wallet instead of leaving them on the exchange. Setup systems to secure and keep track of the keys to your wallets.
Good luck.
Not financial advice, just smooth brain opinion here - I have a similar situation and spread as you (XX GME, Silver) and I would say BTC and ETH are the most standard like it seems you've figured out. Then on the other end of the spectrum there are "alt coins" which have potential for much higher returns but also are more volatile and have more potential to lose all your money. But in both cases it's ALL speculative at this point since you can't actually buy much of anything with crypto. And anyone telling you something is going to go up probably has a stake in telling you it's going to go up.
FWIW I've seen many people say they think crypto will have a "flash crash" if the normal markets and banks tank which will be the ideal time to buy (I.e. Robert Kiyosaki). The saying is something like bull markets get you gains, but crashes are the chance to get rich. Again, not financial advice from me, but I have sold a decent amount of my BTC and ETH and am holding it at ready to buy if there is a flash crash.
I've found this channel helpful and more varied in their coverage than standard controlled media: https://www.youtube.com/kitco
not many know about this coin called Revolution Populi (RVP). I highly suggest you check that out. Only way to buy at this time is through UniSwap. My gut says its going to explode soon (with the release of Mainnet)
I got in on RVP months ago when the rumor was that DJT's platform might link to it. I'm up 500% over the past 2 months.
I love the down dooters. I'm not telling you to go buy now for my own gain. I could give a shit if you buy or not, won't effect my pockets. Just go look at the coin and check out the project....
Anyway, I'm with you. Bought a few months ago at 3.4 cents. Its up to roughly 13 cents now...and I don't think its anywhere near done climbing. When Mainnet is released, I think the chances of an explosion are high.
Starting somewhere like Coinbase would be super easy, since their fee structure is very straightforward, and serve as a good kiddie pool to learn in. (Plus they offer freebies in the form of free altcoins via their Learn & Earn education portal. You can choose to hold those in your portfolio, or exchange them for in-kind positions of other cryptos you're more familiar/comfortable with).
Personally, I'm a fan of SOL, LINK, ADA, XRP & DOT as long-term hodls.
Ethereum and BTC have proven to be pretty safe and solid bets however you won't see them triple in a day which you can sometimes get with riskier coins. Overall I believe bitcoin in the next 6 to 10 years will be worth around 1 million a coin unless we find out the whole system was a fraud by the elites (I don't think that is the case but maybe partially influenced by big money)
I have some Shiba inu as a lottery coin (you can buy like 5 million coins for 100 dollars or something ridiculous so If it ever even gets to 1 penny a coin you will have solid gains.
Overall I think it is a decent way to divest since none of us knows what this crash looks like. It is also possible Trump padded the stock market (I think he did) because I don't see any logical way the market hasn't crashed with all of bidets policy. Contrary to many here I don't think we are going to crash the economy fully because Trump and them don't want to crush little guys and they already know there is an epidemic of drug abuse and suicide
I think coinbase is the easiest app for people new to crypto to use, but I think cashapp and paypal have crypto now too. They're probably just as easy. You're going to want to make sure wherever you get your crypto from, you can control your coins. I know coinbase lets you, I can't confirm the other 2 I mentioned do, but they probably do whereas apps like Etoro and Robinhood do not. Beyond that you're going to want to learn about wallets especially if you're looking to hold long term.
Some cryptos I like are btc ltc eth trx ada neo iota nucypher ankr xvg xmr zcash agi xlm mana in no particular order. There is a lot more I like too. Good luck!
Get a hardware wallet and store most of the crypto you want to save on it. I use a Ledger. Be sure to save your pass phrase written down and stores in a safe.
There are decentralized exchanges that do not require your credentials you can use, as long as you have a wallet. Metamask is useful for this. But if you do use a centralized one, I'd spread them apart over different ones like Kraken, KuCoin, HotBit, etc.
Most of my crypto is in Ethereum and Bitcoin. But there are some good alt picks like RVP, Monero, Cardano, Solana, ARRR, XRP, etc. There's even PAXG which is a 1:1 stable coin backed by gold. You should do your own research and find coins you believe in. CoinMarketCap is a good resource to find some good coins.
Also, be aware of different networks outside of Ethereum. Ethereum gas fees will kill you.
I am new to this as well. I am into Bitcoin, Cardano, Algorand, XRP and Doge for the meme value. Only $20 on Doge though. You will have to buy XRP from places like Uphold. They are in a sec lawsuit and not open to purchase in the US right now. Uphold is in the UK.
I get a funny feeling about xrp because on July 4th, 2020, gold, silver and xrp all hit 1776 that day, with regards to their price format. Also because they seem to be the one to get picked on by the SEC.
I got into Cardano and Algorand right before their recent bump up and was surprised. I was just following the hype. I had the most in Ethereum but I just sold last night and feel bad for not just trading it into BTC, which I wanted to be more into. I do not have a lot of money to throw around so I have been doing exactly as you describe yourself doing. I am currently collecting physical cash and keeping it out of my bank as emergency supply. That was the reasoning behind my Ethereum sale.
A lot of people have mentioned Coinbase and they are who I am with. There are a lot of horror stories on Coinbase Reddit. I believe they must be scammers or foreigners who can't properly prove their address. Like I said I just sold and it went without a hitch.
Please watch videos on how to work with this stuff. NEVER RESPOND OR EVEN OPEN ANY EMAILS FROM THE EXCHANGE. Do not click on links. Do all of your correspondence with the exchange, on the exchange. I am not doing this to just survive. I am doing it to come out ahead when the air clears. I am into the AMC squeeze and also a little silver. I just told you what I am doing. I am a retard for advice. I got a stock out there that nobody is focused on if you want to know more. It only related to our movement here.
btc is always a good buy. I like indexed coins like DPI and c20. both are on the eth blockchain.
Do some research on ISO20022. This is the protocol for the new financial messaging system. The coins that are ISO22 compliant will skate through regulations and be a part of the new financial infrastructure. xrp, xlm, xdc, iota and algo.
Once xrp beats sec case, it will be the first crypto to be officially declared "not a security" I am expecting that to happen soon and $ to flow in immediately after.
I have read that if a coin had an ICO (initial coin offering) they are going to be held under more scrutiny when regulations start rolling in.
You can buy most of these on Coinbase and Uphold.
Been in crypto since 2014. Focus on ETH and CRO, two of the best projects out there. Also DOT, ATA, LINK, MATIC, STRAX, XLM, AAVE, and focus on projects you can stake with (I stake CRO in their DeFi app and make 12% APR). GOoOoOoo
