Too much beautiful country not to see it. We drove from Minneapolis down to southern Texas (not the most scenic trip, I know) and we were a bit worried at the length of the drive, but it was great. We didn't rush, took breaks every 4 hours for the dogs to stretch their legs and do their business, ate lots of bad food and in general had a great time on both ways.
The only downside is one you pointed out and that's the time factor. I take very little vacation and just decided the hell with work, they can live without me for an extra week. So what normally would have been a one week vacation became a two week vacation. And I know that not everybody can do this. But I'm also willing to bet that the vast majority of the people on TGA are hard workers that usually don't use all their PTO by the end of the year and I'd suggest to all of those people: You deserve to take the time off that you earned.
Love to hear this, Drakus.
