Lets be realistic. No one on this board has any power whatsoever to change anything at a national level. There is no random poster on this site who will ever have a case heard at a federal court level, arrest anyone for treason, be a guest on a MSM talk show so you can awaken the masses. That's not our role. We're soldiers, not Generals. We can only hope and pray that there are white hats working at the top of the power structure, doing all that... but Generals don't win wars by themselves.
If you read Q's posts carefully, you'll eventually discover that we are not called upon to be mere spectators. We are called on to take action. Not violent action, but rather, constructive action. Always beware the clowns on here calling for violent action... they are not our friends.
So, what can we do? As Mel Gibson's character in The Patriot so brilliantly said, "Aim small, miss small." So basically draw a circle in your mind with your house at the center and your job, church, grocery store, etc all within...That, my friends is where we have power. Now pick a target... I'll give you two small ones... start here;
Target 1 - Aim Small (You can do this. I promise)
Don't try to awaken the entire radio audience by calling a local talk show. Don't try to awaken some random stranger at the grocery store parking lot who is still so brainwashed that they are wearing two masks and a face shield. Don't try to awaken someone like a cashier or cable repairman who can not walk away from you (you'll risk misunderstanding their customer service or politeness for interest)
Do this; Run for the smallest office you can find. Most small offices like below can be won with less than 50 votes. No kidding. Your county clerk is a great resource for what offices even exist.
This is where we lost our culture. One tiny little committee vote at a time. This is where we can take it back. Here are some ideas;
Church board
Youth Sunday school teacher
PTA position
Neighborhood assoc
Neighborhood watch
BSA / FFA district committee member/advisor
Parks & rec board
(please post more ideas for this in the comments and I'll add them via edit)
If you don't want to 'run' for a position, go volunteer.... and then show up. Need help finding a volunteer position? do this; DDG Search "volunteer (insert your hobby here)"... you'll be surprised.
Target 2 - Aim Tiny (If serving in a position is too scary, do this... it matters)
Spread the word, to a tiny target of one.
Make a list of your 10 closest acquaintances who are not close family, are not already awake, and who live close enough to share a beer or a lunch. Do not put people on your list who you only comm with electronically... (this is aim-tiny, only include your true sphere of influence). Now, go through that list slowly and honestly grade them on three things;
1 Wisdom (not necessarily education or intelligence)
2 Lifestyle (are they generally a traditional thinker; Pro-marriage, employed, etc)
3 Open mindedness (Will they engage, converse, challenge, learn... not just listen)
Find your best candidate. Invite them to meet to talk. Extremely important; tell them how you selected them by sharing the three things above. (Flattery is powerful). Make sure to tell them it is not an opportunity meeting for a multilevel marketing pitch lol!!! Its just that you want someone to talk with once in a while who is thoughtful, and kind, and open minded.
Now here's how to be the absolute most persuasive... use the Socratic Method. Use this question as a blueprint; "I'm curious about you opinion on the Maricopa County audit". You should NEVER ask a question that has a yes or no answer. And when they do answer... NEVER argue... just ask a deeper follow up question and let them dig themselves a deeper hole. Eventually, if you are talking to a person who passed the three candidate criteria above, they will ask the same question back to you, and NOW you have a open audience to share with.
***Don't try to tell or teach them anything until it is in the form of answering their questions. Always introduce new topics by asking a question. Keep your answers super short. Be prepared with sources bookmarked on your phone. And always finish you answer by asking a new question! That is how you can control the conversation without doing all the talking.
***NEVER argue. At best you will tie, and a tie is a loss in the persuasion game. In place of an argumentative response, insert this simple reply; "That's interesting."
If you've been on the sidelines, hoping and waiting and praying for someone else to fix the world, Time's Up, Buttercup.
You can get involved. You can make a difference. Yes, YOU. Its time to move past your keyboard. Go small or go tiny. Even the smallest action outside your front door is going to matter.
Smile.
Have fun.
We are finally winning.
In my case the board sent out a notification that they were having a meeting and anyone wishing to nominate themselves need only send their name and info in prior to the board. I did and then attended the meeting. Seems not many wanted to be on the board and they had 3 vacancies. I was voted in as one of the few who put my name in. I’m thinking not many people even put their names in for boards of any kind. Especially with the HOA being voluntary. Trust me I’ve already staunched some Karen’s trying to start Nazi type actions. And actually one of my liked mind neighbors volunteered and got on at the board meeting also!
"I’m thinking not many people even put their names in for boards of any kind"
In my small sphere, I KNOW that to be the case. My church has to nearly beg people to run for the board. Our PTA almost always has a few members serving in multiple roles. etc etc. Generally speaking, anyone who is willing to do 2-3 hours of research will find an available slot somewhere that they don't even have to campaign for at all.
Thanks for sharing.
