No...you’re correct BUT it comes from several plant sources mainly Willow bark. In South America the Cinchona tree contains Salicylic acid AND quinine!! Also; Salicylic acid is a main component of an herbal extract found in the bark of a number of trees, including the willow tree, and in a number of fruits, grains, and vegetables. (I coulda swore I read White Birch??!). Couple good articles;
