I will enjoy watching the "hip white liberals" who think it's trendy to have "loft or studio apartments" in renovated buildings located in REALLY, REALLY bad neighborhoods.
They are what we call "zombie food". :>)
When the SHTF, they can't pedal their bicycles or ride their electric scooters fast enough to stay ahead of the zombies.
We have lots of idiot liberals in Houston who feel it's "stylish" and shows their "inclusiveness" to live in renovated old buildings in the museum district or near the ball park. Those neighborhoods are like a demilitarized zone at night.... but they each have their security buildings with scan card entry to keep them 'safe'. Yeah! Right.
Not prepping, owning only a bicycle and living amongst the zombie hordes... is not a good strategy.
LOL
Those would be at the bottom of the list of humanoids to fear, if they existed.
You haven't been to downtown Houston after 8:00pm. Yes, zombies DO exist.
They aren't created by meteorites or viruses like in the movies. They are created by people destroying their minds on drugs, having ZERO education, learning to take no responsibility for themselves or others, being morally depraved... so all they do is shamble around aimlessly without any soul or purpose. Those are the zombies.
... and yes, there are thousands of them and they do wander the streets of Houston after dark. If SHTF, watch their numbers grow to the tens of thousands. They are just smart enough to figure ways to break into those yuppie loft apartment buildings too.
Dayton, Texas is a great town for watching zombies. Just pull up a lawn chair near Highway 90 at night... and watch the zombies wander across the highway in search of alcohol (or whatever they are after)... and then stumbling back across the highway to their apartments or trailers.
Stay frosty. When shit goes kinetic there will be plenty of firearms and ammo laying around.
Why, am I cooking, or cracking noggins with it?
PAN SHOT!

Any reason you're not? I can understand it can feel futile or even slightly wasteful when you just want to invest or so but a little bit of well what's the expression... "Prior planning prevents piss poor performance." In the case of my investing example, I (like a lot of us on this site) have concluded we're likely in for significant turbulence and see precious metals being a solid choice, when you follow that through to it's logical conclusion though you can't really justify not also prepping.
I'm trying to find the balance myself but in reality getting some rice and cans every now and then adds up pretty quickly.
Yeah I can see what you're saying.
You're right though, God can provide!
IMHO "bugging out" feels like running away scared. Esp. after seeing that Marine Corps gunny on the tik tok vid saying "If you try to force something on me, I'm not running nowhere. I'm going to kill you. And I won't think nothing else about it."
Not passing judgment - just sharing how it feels to me
Wow. OK, Snarky McSnarklington. Pretty sure that level of mocking fellow patriots, and those who have been or are willing to die for our Republic, isn't necessarily what this site is for, but hey...
"You do you" :)
OK, Snarky McSnarklington. Got it.
"YOU DO YOU!!!!!!"
