It might be more accurate to call it "The history of my people, curated by Mormon" Multiple journals kept by the last living member of his Tribe that he hid.
It amazes me how much ancient Hebrew/Israelite connection there is in the North East part of the US all the way through the bread basket area.
A few of the members have shown some compelling evidence of these claims, though the most interesting thing for me is that the general theme kept going back to government hid evidence of Ancient Hebrew influence. Generally revolves around the Hopewell Mound Builders, Iroquois & Cheyenne tribes from what I saw in a dig a few years back.
