Our Command told us that there is no point in filling out exemptions because there is no guidance on what to do with them. "They are literally sitting in a box in a cubicle"
We've seen so many tactics to gaslight pedes into not acting in their own best interests. Don't fall for it!
You may not get approved (okay, you probably won't get approved at this time) but down the line when consequences finally come home to roost, you may be very grateful for taking the time do it.
ETA: I know there are those who believe we shouldn't be filling out exemptions at all since that's tantamount to asking permission for a right we already have, and in principle I agree. But in practice, doing everything we can to force them to try to force us is what's going to back them into a corner and make them fully expose their guilt and complicity in this mess. Then NCSWIC.
I didn’t ask for an exemption. I informed them of my rights! The lawyer said to line out the stuff that was unconstitutional and insert my rights. So, I did, and for now they accepted it.
You're last points are correct. I was of the first mindset you mentioned where I thinks it's wrong to do exemptions, but my legal counsel said we need to fill them out anyway and put the pressure on the government. So hopefully we have enough people doing this that it counts. I've never been under more pressure in my life, but don't mistake me saying that for weakness. I've already told everyone I'm ready to walk out and I'm selling my car, TVs, baseball cards, playstations, etc. I don't need that stuff, so it's going.
Yeah same, was told that our personnel office doesn't even have the guidance on how to discipline an employee if the exception doesn't work. It all seems like a sham, more big threats. Guess we will see

Still fill them out and submit them!
