I'm not sure how you got "passion" from my use of the phrase "melting pot." I felt no passion about it whatsoever.
Regardless, that was an interesting showing of a possible different meaning to the phrase. However, unfortunately it didn't actually say what its original meaning was. If you are going to say that it changed, it would be beneficial to say how it changed.
It all significantly changed after the 1964 Naturalization and Immigration Act. You should read the history of immigration in the United States. I can show by the original Charters, State Constitutions, Federal, at al. themselves that all of this went out the window when the 1964 Act was signed into law. The 'melting pot' meant something entirely different prior to this.
My use of passion isn't weighed on the phrase, but the over all posting. I sensed it as something important to you.

You still haven't given me any idea of what has changed. Saying "investigate it" is hardly useful. I'm sure after a day or two (or a week or two, depending on how deep I have to go) of looking into all those things I might come to some idea of what you mean, or you can just... tell me or link to something that makes it clear.
Not every little thing has to be a deep dive. Sometimes I just want curiosity satisfied. I have way bigger fish to fry than anything having to do with this.
Unless this will lead me to ties between the Rockefellers and the CIA and/or the Rothschilds, I don't care to devote that much time.

I'm not sure what gave you that impression. I was just commenting. I felt no meaningful emotion to anything in this thread. I suppose I was a tad incredulous that someone would come here and so blatantly promote white supremacy, but it was hardly an emotional response in any meaningful sense of that term.
I could provide you the Naturalization and Immigration Act of 1965 in a pdf form. However, since my statement of its effect wasn't good enough for you, I don't think I need to bother because you already have a preconceived notion of what this phrase 'melting pot' means. The historical record however would disagree with you. And providing incontrovertible evidence of it and the Acts, laws, charters, and State Constitutions would be somehow interpreted as 'racist' judging by your attraction for using "White Supremacy" in your response and as a shot across the bow. That remark was surprising, but also revealing. Interesting.

Where do you even get this stuff?
I was asking for evidence. I never said you were wrong. Point to me where you think I said you were wrong.
That is the second time you have completely misconstrued my statements.
I can look the act up myself. Will it tell me exactly how the meaning of the phrase changed? That was what I was asking for since you made the claim that the phrase definition changed.
And of course you STILL haven't told me how the phrase changed. I.e. what it was before, and what it is now, which is all I was asking for (three times now).

And that's the third time in two posts you have completely misconstrued my statements.
This was in response to the OP who made CLEAR white supremacists statements in a discussion with me. It wasn't in any way ambiguous. He was talking about the literal superiority of white males. Reading comprehension and understanding context. Its a thing...
Here is what the OP said for which I made that statement, and to which I was responding where you said "I was emotional."
Hmm. I was going to link the post where he was so blatantly a white supremacist, but it seems all of his posts were deleted so I can't.
To be clear, I never once called YOU a white supremacist. Please read what I am writing and not what you (for God alone knows what reason) think I am writing.
