I'll give you my mail; it is mostly "begging for bucks' from RNCC, Faith and Freedom, Rand Paul, anything that has to do with the government needing money. I usually get 10 pieces of "begging for bucks" everyday. The USPS speeds that stuff up.
I recently got a notice -- I want to say it was from one of my utilities, but I don't remember off-hand -- letting people know that the US Postal Service mail delivery could be delayed by up to two days and to plan your bill-paying accordingly. I wondered about this, as well.
I think postal systems in countries with high vax are suffering from a) staff shortages and b) inexperienced staff then having to deal with fully automated systems.
My mailman won't deliver my mail because a pear tree is dropping pears and then yellow jackets eat them. He was stung by one a couple of years ago, and won't go near the pears.
I wonder if this could be due to all of the cargo ships that are sitting off-shore? No cargo being off-loaded, so no items for customers to buy online, hence no need for so many mail deliveries.

If I receive mail, it's always the wrong house. USPS blows

I read a couple weeks ago that 1) prices were going up in Oct. and 2) mail service would be slower. I’ll see if I can find the link.

My entire town gets the mail at the Post Office. All is running normally
They are going to save money and cut back deliveries.

No it was planned to save money, I saw I link here last week or so.
