Correct. The military is a great career option if you are either 1) a fucking retard or 2)use drugs and alcohol to cope. Their rank and structure is volunteer socialism with an archaic class structure that picks and chooses who will succeed and where based on political corruption.
Now where all this is still in play is with the Combatant Commanders. You see, braindead soldiers will do the bidding of whoever is in charge and most of them were fresh Trump appointees:
As I have been reading these comments, I now think the whole point of this is to give the necessary appearance of all the MAGA folk being pushed out before the Devolution can conclude. Soldiers typically have allegiance to the job as you noted. They don't care what it is as long as they get paid and their families are safe. It will be hard for the media to justify this as a MAGA coup if most of the MAGA folks were kicked out. The remaining members carrying out Trump and Qs plan won't know any better because they don't follow this shit and to them it will be just another day at the office.
At the same time, total collapse of the military might also be necessary.
Secondly, I don't think Trump wants this to be a military thing. I think he also wants to make sure public opinion is on his side. But we can't speak more to that subject if you don't read Devolution.
As to your standing Army comment, I'm inclined to agree. I think we can have one and ours does offer good benefits. As a four year option it is a good call (well not right now), but generally speaking it does make sense to have a maintaining force. But you are right, we need more citizen involvement and maximum transparency.
You also have to remember that our military has six branches and not all of them will be required. In fact, the military is actually very small in the grand scheme. All Active and Reserve forces make up about 1.2 million strong. That is nothing compared to the 100 million plus pissed off patriots so... it would stand to reason that traditionally speaking the military has been made up of the militia which is typically the people, us... only time will tell for sure and you should be preparing for the absolute worst.

Absolutely.
