I'm getting kicked out atm from reception. Chapter 11 uncharacterized. You can check my post history. We had the drill sergeants threatening us with dishonorable discharge, 77,000 dollar fines, and jail time. They told us religious exemptions were not a thing, and basically fucked with us the entire time. It's text book coercion, IG reports and EOs have already been filed. The good news is that if you're national guard, they're refrading back to your units and letting them decide what to do with you. For reservists and active you're fucked. I don't get phone privileges cept once a week so I won't be responding to this
Yup, there were 11 of us who refused it. They tried all sorts of intimidation, said we would go to jail, get a huge fine, etc. We would have been fine applying for a religious exemptions and then continuing training, but the battalion commander made the call that all anti vaxers couldn't train and had to sit in reception until their exemptions went through. So everyone ended up getting out, because none of us were gonna wait 7-9 months for an exemption that may or may not go through; when we could always just reenlist in 6 months if the rules changed or exemptions started being granted. The whole situation was pretty fucked, the drill sergeants fucked with us constantly, we had one who filed a false police report, another who would try and get female trainees to accuse us of sexual harrasment; honestly if I wasnt worried about catching a fake case I could have stuck it out. Im not gonna risk bogus sexual harrasment charges in my record though.
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a fucking nightmare, and I'm even more glad than before that I didn't enlist now.
If you or any of your fellow 10 who have documentation of what happened, it's a huge case as far as lawsuits could go, at least in the future.
You should tell this story to the board here sometime, and even to Patriots.win - whenever you're comfortable. Loads of people would appreciate it and have your back, and others behind enemy lines who let themselves be coerced might get the balls to speak out.
Thus far, not many stories of this caliber are out there. Truly, one of the most important things I've read on this board.
Yes it was pretty much a total fucking nightmare. There was all sorts of games being played: like when they'd take me in to bitch at me; theyd make me bring an ESL(English second language) as a witness , so I'd basically have no witness. Or when I filed an EO(equal opportunity) complaint for religious discrimination ( they'd talk mad shit on Christianity, say fuck your God, etc); they pulled in the sergeant I filed it on and she tried to intimidate me into withdrawing it; saying shed file one back because this was clearly about her being a black Muslim woman, and she said she'd win that fight no doubt. (I had no idea her religious background). The commander basically said the same thing, he said " you really think this is gonna go somewhere, against a Muslim?". Apparently this is only at ft sill though, from what I've heard they get the most complaints of any base in America, and they're the only one not letting people progress through basic while waiting for a waiver
