Does one need to be prior military to join? (Husband was Army, so we are eligible if so.) Do you recommend NF? Is it based? I want to get out of our current bank, but want to do some research first.

We are working on a refi on our house and that should help a bit. I want to change everything else over that I can. Maybe NF can refi his truck. That would help too!
