Ok so that was at 10pm on the Market Frankfort Line. She wasn't alone that is a very busy train. 10pm is the last regular run so people will be riding. (after that they run a couple of trains every few hours until the next day) The article even says there were people standing around filming. I think she DID mistakenly believe was safe riding that train. Look there are creepy lines that can get pretty empty and as you wait in a stinking and wet tunnel watching the rats go over the tracks it's a bit uncomfortable. Market Frankfort though could seriously be the busiest line... I guess things have not gone well in Philly since I left.
Any woman out traveling alone without an armed male relative, is living in a fantasy world and it's only a matter of time before she gets a wake-up call as in this case.
We no longer live in the white man's America of the 50s. Time to recognize that fact and live accordingly.
