They were making fun of all the freedom protesters saying "look at all these idiots protesting freedom while i went and had a beer with all my mates". I finally snapped and called them all cuck virgin faggots with no morals and no back bone. They stand for nothing and when it comes to crunch time i know all of you will throw me under the bus. I deleted all forms of social media and haven't given anyone an alternative form of contact. If they really cared they'd find a way to reach out to me but we'll see how this goes. No one cares about anything anymore and it makes me sick

Read this in a book recently (not a direct quote):
When most people are asked what makes a good friend, they reply with "someone who accepts me" or "likes me for who I am." The guy selling you a hamburger at McDonald's can be considered your friend – they like and accept you, unless you don't pay up... it has to go deeper than that. We need people who will challenge us, stand up for us, and love us.
Personally, I don't have oodles of friends, but the handful I do have, I feel, do those things.
I've understood and communicated to friends that i consider a friend one who agrees to a reciprocal defensive pact in which we are mutually bound to do violence on behalf of each other's real priorities when necessary.
I like this. It sounds archaic, but perhaps we've been culturally changed into believing that such a thing is "wrong", "selfish", "shallow"
