the "Fearless Girl" statue was put facing off in front of the Wall Street bull sculpture in 2017 as part of a marketing/propaganda campaign. Because a) a little girl totally wouldn't get torn limb from limb by a gigantic bull so it's "empowering," and b) protesting the symbolic bull market makes total sense.
Makes more sense than that "Powerless Girl Demonstrating Suicidal Hubris" statue from before.
Worst thing is, the symbolism is lost on them. Basically some snotty brat standing in the way of a powerful market.
What the hell does that even mean? Is that a joke or was there a real statue called that? /confusion
