Would there be riots? If all Fed contractors and all businesses with 100 or more employees must why not welfare? Why are there no lawsuits here?

Social security is not a public benefit if you paid into it.
If you receive Social Securty retirement or disability, your payment is based on your earnings. You and your employer have been paying into that. The government is claiming to be saving the money so that it is available when you need it. If you die, your widow/dependents would be able to collect that money.
If you receive Social Security Income, that is based on your need. It is funded through a general fund. That makes it a public benefit.
Now as far as receiving medicaid, because the government took your money instead of allowing you to invest it as you choose, your fixed income is not enough to live off of and pay for medical premiums. Had the government not taken your money, you could have invested it and made a lot more. So I figure, medicaid while it is a public benefit, it is earned if you put money into the social security system through your earnings.
Thank you for this clarification. Much appreciated.
A buddy of mine is on SS Disability and Medicare. He got a notice that his benefits may be suspended after the first of the year if he is not vaxxed.
I wonder if SSI recipients received the same notice? I wonder if Nutrition Assistance recipients received that same notice? I wonder if refugees received that same notice? Those are all programs that offer benefits based on need.
