If they get to cancel Christmas, we should cancel their blood-worshipping satanic playdate.

I know where it comes from, Christians have reclaimed it for their own.
My pastor goes into the pagan history, too. I'm like, I get it. But, you know the days of the week, planets, months of the year, etc. all have pagan/secular origins too. Who cares? It is what you make it.
All my kids ever knew is we are celebrating Jesus' birthday. The end.
Agreed. I don't think God will hold it against any of us for letting our kids go trick or treating.
Christ was not born in the winter, but you know who was? All the pagan sun gods from Osiris to Apollo. Why do we carry on with the occultism of the yule log (Nimrod shedding his humanity), cover our homes with laurels and wreaths (offerings to Saturn), and evergreen tree with gifts (Nimrod ascending to god-hood/immortality)? If Christians truly made it their own, why purport the paganist traditions of this holiday? Do you think we truly claimed it for our own or that we were deceived by Satan just as God prophesized in Revelation (12:9)?
I find this bit interesting:
“At the time of persecution, Christians were detected by NOT decorating their houses at the Saturnalia. The ancient Christians were puritanically jealous of anything that might seem like coquetting with idolatry. “ -Crippen
Here's a question for ya: If the Vatican issued a statement that Halloween was going to become a Christianized holiday, would you suddenly be okay with it?
