The peasants only care about Taiwan, and visa versa, because a lot have family that moved there. Other than that, they couldn't care less. CCP wants Taiwan for it's industrial and tech industries.

Yes, but I'm saying that even the CCP "elites" have peasant minds and an incomplete understanding of economics. Otherwise China would not be in the severe economic crisis they are now in. All those industrial and tech industries in Taiwan would be mostly useless if the CCP bastards took them over... who is going to operate them? It's like giving a laptop to a chimpanzee, or a Tesla car to an ape. Nice toy, but what will they do with it?
