Penisse is a mix between « johnson » and « Panisse », a famous Berkeley restaurant whose name comes from a famous character in Marcel Pagnol Marius/Fanny/Cesar trilogy.

The idea was that to be openly politically incorrect to immediately drive pedantic people away, and also to bring this je-ne-sais-quoi of European-scent.🥳
