In my experience (this is not financial advise), many of them pop right before the merger is final, then have a drop right afterwards. Some grind back up. Others don’t.

Usually SPACs will trade before they announce the merger.
There is also no downside risk to buying, depending on how long you want to hold. SPAC floor is $10.
