Gianforte isn't in Congress any more. He's governor of Montana, and pretty based.

He body slammed annoying reporter Ben Jacobs in 2017, and was arrested for it, but only charged with a misdemeanor.

Trump referenced the incident at a 2018 rally. 🙂

On October 18, 2018, during a rally in Missoula, Montana, President Donald Trump congratulated Gianforte for his assault on Jacobs. While verbally praising Gianforte's prowess in carrying out a body slam, Trump made gestures with his hands and arms to pantomime a fighting maneuver.

Yep. And Gianforte made his money by starting up a software company from nothing and turning it into a huge employer and producer. As far as I know that money is all legit.
