It seems likely to me that that the deep state is wanting Americans to fear China so that there is less pressure to defend Taiwan.
If Biden is really commander in chief, I don't really see why China would wait one day before invading. Maybe Biden is holding out for a another billion dollar investment deal for Hunter?
I don't think it will be enough of a threat. To truly make Americans cuck out yhere needs to be a military loss. Wait till we engage but the rules prohibit sinking a PLA carrier because of polu3tion risks or some such nonsense.
