In this country, you cannot fire people for being black, female, or jewish.
(That is, race, sex, or religion).
Keep in mind that religious protections in the civil rights act were placed there by and for Jews. Christians did not need any special protection since they were already 90%+ of the population.
Religious exemptions are sound if claimed properly. The trick is you can't let it be framed as a request the company can approve or deny. Rather, it's a declaration, such as a race or sex, which the company has no choice in the matter. Many structures are already built into the law and the HR processes to tiptoe around these protected classes and avoid any legal liability from firing someone due to these specific protected reasons.
I am not submitting an exemption. I don't need their approval to assert my rights over my own body. I will find out what they will do one Nov 8th. The deadline for fed DoD employees is Nov 22 to be fully GMO'd. My answer will be simple. "No thank you". Whatever happens will happen.
Requesting their approval is precisely your mistake. Your civil rights are a declaration, not a request.
I, NAME, declare religious exemption from the Covid-19 vaccination mandate. Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, I attest to having sincerely held religious beliefs which will not permit me to abide by this mandate. Additionally, I am not willing to describe these personal religious beliefs for the reasonable fear that if others have knowledge of them it will engender discrimination against my and/or my family. I am aware that reasonable accommodations may have to be made regarding this declaration of religious exemption, and I am willing to discuss accommodations that would be reasonable and necessary in order to come to an agreement. Finally, I expect this letter to remain confidential, and its contents to be disclosed only to those for whom there is an express need.
I won't sue. I don't think much of lawyers and don't willingly use them for anything that I don't have to. I've been preparing for something like this for a while. My issue with the vax isn't based much on my religious beliefs. My issue is reason, logic, science and Human Rights. I fully support those with religious reasons, but I refuse to play their game at all. I'm too old and too stubborn to participate in their stupid games.
Good that you are that close to retirement. Unfortunately I still have to work for another 13-15 years before I can retire. I'll end up getting my GC and electricians license. That will carry me for the last decade or so of work
Some people can't just up and quit their jobs, it's their literal lifeline and they aren't qualified to do anything else except maybe clean toilets or flip burgers.
Because if that hadn't been explained, people would have reasonably thought that they can earn money while dead :)
LOL What I was implying earlier was that instead of quitting, some folks have no choice but to stick it out and keep their job, keep refusing the clot shot as long as possible, until their employer backs down or at the very least fires them, so they can (a) $ue and (b) $oak up unemployment. Nobody with a brain takes a shot of poison just to keep a paycheck FFS
I can't either !! But I did I'm not selling my soul for 30 pieces of silver. I have a mortgage house 7 acres,truck,jeep,tractor
etc, etc, etc time to stand the fuck up!!
Yes and don’t think they will try to rescind your exemption down the road at some point. They almost certainly will if we don’t stop them now.
Your exemption is not something they can grant or rescind. Rather, it is a declaration that you make and is your civil right.

It appears were are in a Soviet system I don’t think civil rights are a thing anymore

Yup, our company is in the process of taking back our religious exemption that they just approved a couple of months ago. It’s gonna get ugly!!
claim the iron law of "no give backs"

I cant help but to believe that this will be tied up in the legal system for years if it gets that far.
Yep I'm doing the same thing as well.
Same here, but my deadline is 12/8. Luckily I can take early retirement by using the "rule of 55" for this 401(k), then draw from IRAs after 59.5.

Why are you so desperate to earn money for people who want to see you dead?
Because they give you a small cut?
Interesting.
Some people can't just up and quit their jobs, it's their literal lifeline and they aren't qualified to do anything else except maybe clean toilets or flip burgers.
Here's the thing.
You can earn money flipping burgers.
You can earn money cleaning toilets.
You can't earn money when you're dead.
Plus even if you get clotshot they can still fire you. I think people who get vaccinated insurance is gonna go up alot next.
Because if that hadn't been explained, people would have reasonably thought that they can earn money while dead :)

Yes. Fight for your employers beach house!
Or maybe this is the ski chalet they're buying now?
I'm a man who's put my money where my mouth is a long time ago.
But yes have fun demanding the government protect you from your boss so you can go back to being a drone.
I am well prepared and reveling in foolish people's despair.
But keep telling yourself it's the people making fun of you who are the losers.
