It’s not just because POTATUS uses it all of the time.
It’s because the agenda of pushing transgenderism, asking for pronouns, and everything else associated with it is working in the public sphere. Because you’re not allowed to just call a group “guys” or “ladies” anymore.
Anyone else irritated by this?
Uhhh folks is a term for a couple that is generally older. STOP letting douchebags steal terms just because you feel like you can’t say “guys” anymore don’t let them twist it up so bad that you don’t use other terms because of how bad they have screwed it over. Do your thing, be yourself, the small group of loud people will fade
Stack Exchange on the matter
They absolutely turn our language against us, just like rewriting the definition of vaccine in the dictionary to fit their agenda.
That’s why it bothers me. I’m now awake, and these attempts to play mind games are constant.
Haven’t been on Reddit in over a year.
If you start paying attention, you’ll find they use it on the news, most websites, and other areas of social influence.
Yeah, you're overreacting. It's always been used in some regions more than others. And what else do you call a mixed male-female group of people? It's a fine word by itself, it'll be fine later. Y'all and all y'all work sometimes, but we don't want them city folk to appropriate that neither. Even if it's a passive aggressive defensive language mechanism, it's still small potatoes.
