Check out the comments. They point out that soh-cah-toa is a common pneumonic device for teaching trigonometry. (Sine-Cosine-Tangent? I dunno). They also point out that some kid was probably just looking for an excuse to get her fired.

Definitely crazy-looking. But if she's a good teacher with crazy techniques it might be good. I had a few crazy teachers that had fun classes. For me it beat reading textbooks any day. But she might just be plain crazy. I'd say it's a local problem, not GA-worthy. And I still want to eliminate the federal dept of education.
