I am still trying to figure out exactly where the all seeing eye (and the pyramid) come from. The more I dig, the more confusing its real origin gets. I think it might go back a long, long, long way. Like, maybe tens of thousands of years. Long before the name "Lucifer" had meaning (a Latin word). Long before the names "Ba'al" or "Moloch" (Babylon/Sumeria) had meaning.
Long, long ago.
History is not what we think it is. I don't know if its even close.
That is what I thought for quite a while. Now I think it goes much deeper. Though it is difficult to know for sure since the players may or may not be the same when the name changes over the course of eons.
Might I suggest to approach it from a different angle?
All seeing eye ... = awareness. We are spiritual beings capable of connecting to the All, irrespective if you want to call it God, intelligence, consciousness, etc.
Even Jesus said: The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light"
Enlightenment then may be equated to the all seeing eye?
Another interesting tidbit:
The name of God in Hebrew is written from right to left. We also know Egypt has played a major role in the development of the Hebrew orbit of thought, and if the stories are to be believed for more than 400 years co-mingling. (example: the word amen).
Take the name as written in Hebrew, and put is in a top down position. Look carefully. What do you see? Two gates? what is coming through the gates? What is the vantage point? And to whom is it moving towards? Then what does that mean for the beholder, in this case you? Connected to the ALL or not?
The name means: I am. Only in the now is it possible "to be". That is where the notion of "I am" is. That is also the point at which the connection to the ALL is established, felt, experienced. Facts are, in the now only.
In spite of the connotations of the All-Seeing Eye on there it's still cool.
