Between that and the overboard cargo outside of the Olympic Peninsula, sounds like someone's trying to destroy evidence.
What kind of "mining chemicals?" Where did this shipment originate from? What other cargo is the ship carrying? And why the fuck wasn't the rest of the ship helping to fight this fire? They're ALL trained in shipboard fire fighting (or should be), and if the fire's bad enough, it would require two teams, not one.
Um, guise, this is also US coast. Containers overboard in Strait of Juan de Fuca, just north of Port Angeles WA. Ship now anchored outside Victoria, just across the Strait from Pt. Angeles and right across Haro Strait from San Juan Island, USA!!!
