I woke up this morning feeling like a cold was coming on - nasal congestion, runny nose, scratchy throat, occasional unproductive cough (probably from throat irritation, IMO) and general run-down feeling.
I attended several multi-hour events this weekend, each attended by hundreds of people where I had close interaction with LOTS of kids so it is probably something I picked up there.
Having a supply of horse paste on-hand "just in case" but having never taken any, I decided to give it a try to see if it would help.
It's been 2-hours since I took IVM and here is what I can report so far. Runny nose, nasal congestion, cough - 100% gone. Scratchy throat, much better but still there. "Run-down" feeling abating - not sure if from IVM, being on my second cup of coffee, or a combination of both.
I dosed per instructions for my body weight - it was super-easy for those uninitiated horses out there - dialed in in 50-pound increments with a locking ring to keep you from over-dosing your horse. I put mine on a spoon and it went right down the hatch - followed with a big gulp of water and I barely noticed any taste at all except for a slight and not unpleasant apple flavor.
Anybody that has taken IVM, please feel free to comment on any side-effects (other than being cured) you may have encountered so I can keep an eye out for them.
Thanks.

I must say I appreciate all these IVM posts. I haven’t gotten ill feeling enough yet to hit my stash, but these posts give me confidence in the option. I take daily doses of C, Quercetin, zinc, turmeric, vitamin D, all of which I think keeps me good (along with daily exercise) except for allergies. But I’m wondering if the IVM might somehow work against whatever causes migraines…..
Add NAC and that is my daily
Be careful… that was giving me heart palps.
Niacin (or B3) is a very powerful B vitamin which can be used for heart issues. The body can experience a "niacin flush" when taken in isolated in high doses. My sister took high doses of niacin to successfully treat schizophrenia back in the 70's (see orthomolecular psychiatry protocol developed by Dr. Abram Hoffer). You can take time released niacin to prevent the side effects but it truly is one powerful vitamin. Most of the time B Vitamins should be taken in the complex form. B Vitamins are wonderful in ALL that they do for the body. They are water soluble meaning you flush out any excess and they are destroyed by stress (which we all experience).
We are talking about NAC, not niacin
