These explanations make sense if you haven't spent any time around weapons. If you have, you know that firing a weapon involves intent in this type of scenario. You don't "practice drawing" while aiming at someone and you don't pull the trigger (and conveniently have live ammo in the gun), even if you do the above.
Whatever happened, it's unlikely that it's something like this. It's possible, if the person is legitimately low IQ and a beginner who was handed a loaded weapon, but it's very unlikely.
Correct. A prop gun wouldn't have the ability to fire a live round, the firing pin would be removed or the chamber/breech blocked to not allow a round to be entered (dependant on what weapon was used) they clearly had a live weapon on set, with a live round!
Alec Baldwin is a loud mouth idiot and this whole shooting thing proves it. What asswipe would fire a weapon without making sure it wasn't loaded with real ammo? He and his liberal gun hating friends should be the ones gun control laws should be focused on. if you are a liberal you shouldn't be able to buy a weapon of any kind. They said in the LA Times article the pistol itself had several accidental/unsafe discharges during testing. So apparently they continued to use this “faulty” weapon! Uh, most true firearm educated people would have removed a faulty weapon due to safety issues! So again begs the question of how accidental this was that 1 they continued to use a faulty weapon, and then 2, loaded it with a live round and handed it to Alec, who’s an idiot anyway. Just stupid people.
I think its particularly unlikely ‘poor’ trigger control was involved in that he shot this woman in the midsection. I’ve read it both ways ‘heart’ and ‘abdomen.’ Either way, shots are not that accurate with ‘poor’ anywhere in the equation.

Clearly the weapon wasn't checked now was it, and Baldwin never checked it either, and used the trigger. He is at fault.

I'm noticing these reports leaving out the inconvenient fact that TWO people were shot. So either:
A) Both victims were standing in line with each other and one shot took them both out
or
B) Numbnuts shot the gun TWICE
