Today, the Premier (head of govt in a state) in Victoria is moving to enact a law that will allow HIM to declare a "pandemic emergency" whether or not there the disease is even present in the state, and whether or not the designated disease has "pandemic potential" or not, and to declare this based on his OWN judgment that there is a "serious risk", while being able to ignore any advice from the Chief Health Officer in the state, and to declare anti -pandemic measures (like isolation, lockdown, no travel, etc) for any specific group determined by gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, etc.
It's literally insane. Literally. Not figuratively. Literally.
Considering nothign is happening down there but the constant aggressive moves by the AUS government, I would say the capacity for the modern Westerner to tolerate brutality and oppression is infinite.
I don't think that most people are psychological capable of fighting to defend their lives anymore.
In which case the world is due for a century of torment more brutal than anybody could possibly imagine. Imagine a world built upon infinite suffering.
Yep.
