This is funny. Beating the airline mask mandate.

That was stupid, but funny. Recently took a cross-country flight on United. Their instructions were clear: remove masks once per bite or sip, and keep it on otherwise, even while eating.
That said, after the initial first-class stewardess refused to let you on board unless mask covered noise and mouth (mask-free in the terminal and the boarding line), I removed my mask the whole flight, and so did my adult son. I figured anyone who cared would tell the flight attendant who would come to remind me, but that never happened. This was the case for both of the round-trip flights. One of the flights I waited for the restroom in the aisle, maskless, for a few minutes. Spotted a couple (Chinese, fwiw) sitting down maskless with a small child. On the return I went through the entire TSA security line maskless until the guy checking ID told me "lower your mask so I can see your face," and when I smiled he laughed because he hadn't even noticed I was maskless, but then he made me put it on until the next checkpoint. Also was asked to put it on when I checked a bag on the outgoing trip, and at the car rental counter. I never expected to get through all that. It was nice to know that so many people didn't care. LA - Boston.
I am always maskless until told to put it on. When on the plane I keep a low profile until takeoff and then keep a See’s Candy sucker or Tootsie Roll pop in my mouth the whole flight. See’s last longer. Out of 4 recent flights I’ve only had one flight attendant give me a problem over it and he got corrected by his fellow flight attendant.
Right on. Keep fighting!
Exactly. I take my mask off at the airport. The only spot where they ask you is boarding and deboarding
