Wingspread looks like a 4-armed pinwheel from above - maybe a swastika if you use your imagination. No idea what is below. "Its plan is pinwheel, a form which precedes the cruciform in Froebel training, extending from a central, three story high, octagon. The spaced is zoned; separate spaces for sleeping, kitchen etc. The home features a large centrally located chimney with in the Great Hall. It offers four fireplaces on the main level and a vertical fireplace on the mezzanine. I showed a top down picture of Wingspread to a friend who knows nothing about Racine and he immediately said it looks like a swastika before I ever even implied anything.
