Don't even call it "refuse." There is an implication there that you're being combative.
I'm not refusing the vaccine; I'm declining it.
Some companies consider "decline" and "refuse" as the same
Language is an important part of this war.
Maybe the company considers it the same thing, but psychologically they have different connotations.
Exactly, i have my own conviction/belief, religious or not i dont need to explain/justify why/how to anyone. That is what freedom is about.
Very good point. With everything else I've always figured it's enough to say NO. Don't need to explain WHY our answer is NO. It's enough that we're saying NO and that is the end of the matter.
Tards grew up never hearing “NO”.
Yeah, it's bizarre. I know a lot of people who seem pretty strong and successful...but every time they want to say NO they feel compelled to explain their reasoning.
I had to MAKE myself learn to just say "No, I don't want to do that" and then just shut up.
It's quite thorough, this brainwashing/conditioning. I woulda thought I was tougher than having to FIGHT my own mind to keep from offering up explanations for exercising my own free will. Very strange.
I noticed another trait, first in my family & later with others that I find highly irritating too. It's the "why don't you do it THIS WAY" comment. I just say "my mind's made up", or "no means NO"!!! Everybody questioning the decision-making process' of others. Now that I mentioned this...you'll notice it too 😂
HA! Ohmygosh - I have had to have talks with family about that!
On the surface it might appear to be simply annoying, but it's REALLY just as you said:
I told them that every time they did that they were ASSUMING there was no thought process behind the actions of other people, and why on earth would they assume THEY were the only ones thinking? "Isn't it rather insulting to imply that YOU are thinking things through, but no one else is?".
Done under the guise of “I’m just trying to HELP”!!! I got my circle thinking about it though. I phish (no pun) for that reaction and immediately call them out. Basically I’ll say I’ve been thinking about doing xyz” and when their siren song emerges I’ll say “why are you always trying to mold my actions or my thinking...if I say xyz I’m doing it via xyz”.
Yep - it can get to where you don't even WANT to mention ANYTHING you are doing, but it really is best to just confront the beast and deal with it.
Permission versus rights. It applies to all subjects!
The VA keeps a list of “difficult patients“.
The "Patient's Bill of Rights", which patients have to sign when admitted to a hospital, gives the right to refuse any medication. They are recognizing in this document that we have a God-given right to be in control of our own bodies.
No means no. Period. Give a DEVIL nothing because they will twist anything.
