He always has a female bassist it seems, doesn't he? :)
I liked that 18-year-old Tal Wilkenfeld, I think her name was, from Australia (pre-communism). AMAZING that she could stand on stage and hold forth with the Towering Master of the Stratocaster, and never miss a beat. His stuff is so complicated in parts, it's hard to imagine how she did it.
Yep, she's the one I was referring to. Saw her when JB opened for ZZ Top at Hollywood Bowl (I know - upside-down bill) some years back. Amazing! Almost made me want to sell all my gear kek
Saw Clapton 20+ yrs ago in LA. from 5 rows back. He was FCKN AWESOME! Did his encore with George Harrison for over an hour and those tickets were FREE! Best 4 hrs. of my life!!!!!
If I were to pay that much it would be to see Clapton, or The Who. I know Clapton doesnt make you get the jab
Hell, I wouldn't even pay that much to sit in the front row for Jeff Beck.
OK front row maybe, but that's it! :)
I'd pick a seat in front of Beck's bassist chick. Awesome all the way around!
