Interesting this...one of the biggest Hospital complexes in Cincinnati has the name Anderson. Hhmmm... I can say wholeheartedly that money is pure evil. Once you have it, you must PROTECT IT. It’s truly a burden and all you worry about is who will try stealing it. Giving it away was a kik in satan’s ass and it felt good. I’m happier without it. Do you realize almost everybody spends a huge portion of their lives focusing on how to GET IT? It’s sad yet laughable too.
At this point I’m ready to buy you a beer and call you friend forever, Phish.
Those words I can’t agree with more.
My dad grew up with a - pretty rough life. He’s my hero. He’s up there now and his health is rough - but call him at 3AM and he’s there.
He’s ferociously fatherly. He means well for EVERYONE around him - but he raises hell against those that need it and somehow does it in a living way.
He got his first job at 6 to make 25 cents a day and take a load of bread home to his mom and sister. That’s him.
“You don’t need to be wealthy. Just have enough money to manage. Wealth is knowing a cold drink on a hot summer day listening to God’s Creation and feeling him love you through the sun on your face.”
As a kid I didn’t get what he was saying at all.
Now? Yes. Money drives so many I know. I make a decent bit - I give most of it away. Other people need it more than me. I won’t just buy their food but I will use the cash to help them learn to feed themselves.
