Called her after she took her third dose and said she felt fine (thank God). Incidently my dad took his three days before her and he felt numbness in his injection arm, but looks like the numbness seem to have passed. Anyway, we were just chatting and I said to her that she has had enough vaccines, don't take a fourth, then, like clockwork, because I have had this conversation before, she started spewing about government and health orders and must have full protection, I let her rant for a while because she can go on then once she finished, very calmly I ask her if vaccines protect, why do you need more? Now, it wasn't a plan of mine because I tried before to convince her not to take the 1st, 2nd and 3nd, but there was a moment of silence, like something clicked in her head, THEN she got mad, as if my question didn't sit right in her, and she was madly stating she will take the fourth bla bla bla....
There's still some time before the UK gov starts bullshitting about the fourth one but I CAN ONLY HOPE THIS IS A TURNING POINT FOR HER AND SHE REFUSES THE FOURTH.

2 weeks ago I was talking with my Father on the phone and asked him what he had planned etc. He said "I've had a text to tell me to go and get my booster (3rd) shot, so I'm going to do that"! He is 82 and very conservative. I tried to argue with him that he didn't really need it, he hardly sees anyone, doesn't go out into big crowds etc, but nope he wouldn't listen.
2 days later I get a message from his sister, he had collapsed in his hallway, hit his head on some shelves and in his words, "his legs wouldn't work and he couldn't get up". His sister tells me he was stuck there for a few hours before she visited and could help him, and that he looked terrible, waxy and really unwell looking.
He then spends the next 2 days in bed, something I don't think he has ever done in his life!
Speaking again a few days later he says he is fine now, but he has mosquito bites all over his right arm and leg, and hand. He says it must be because he had the window open! Then unbelievably whilst I'm on the phone with him, he said he was having a coffee in his usual coffee shop and must have "reacted to the coffee because his lip had swollen up and he has tingling in his face"!
But try as I might and get him to make the connection between this all happening and the booster, he won't! He can't, he cannot make that leap, he will find any reason for all these strange things but the booster shot!
The brainwashing is strong, even when staring some right in the face, and nothing will change that in some people.
Sorry, fren. But maybe she will stew on it and change her mind. All you can do is all you can do. Each one must live their own lives. Hopefully, you got through to her.
My mom - fully vaxxed early this year - has just been hospitalized with COVID pneumonia with what they suspect as blood clots in the lungs. Please don't let her get another booster.
