80% of people in stores don't wear masks.
No restaurants or businesses require masks. Most of the time, employees don't wear them either. Nobody at all gives you trouble one way or another. I believe most people here are just sick and tired of the subject, so you rarely even hear Covid mentioned.
Also, there aren't any restrictions on people, vaxed or not.
I was at an HEB Grocery an hour ago. No mask, but most others weren't wearing one too. Nobody cares.
Went to Walgreens, same thing.
No bar or restaurant even mentions it anymore, like it's entirely optional. The only places uptight about it are doctor's offices and hospitals. They still require masks, no arguing. No government offices of post offices require it.
Only places that care are gov buildings / services (so metro busses) and hospitals. At LBJ the triage area was hard-line masks but once your test comes back as negative they don't give a shit. They only check temp and ask if you have covid symptoms before entering triage area and test you once you finally get a bed. Many places of employment still force employees to wear them so your server will be masked but I'm guessing the ones who don't wear them were vaccinated considering a majority of employees will be masked with only the most danger haired liberals waking around without lowered O2 levels. If the establishment is chill you'll just see them with nose exposed or the classic chin diaper. Most of the places where they offer free testing are deserted unlike last year that had lines so long they were fucking up traffic. I went to Sam's twice in the same week they changed policy about letting the impure bloods walk around mask free. It tripped me out because the little tyrants lost their power over night. Warp speed did it's job for Houston.
Edit: Ah looks like the gov stuff might have changed recently. That's good to hear. Been a hot minute since we had to do gov work and my friend who rides metro hasn't been around for a while, but every time I scooped him up from a bus stop he had it on and said ppl would get kicked off or refused service if they fought it. It's also plastered on the side of the bus still lol. I knew he banned vax mandates but didn't realize he banned masks as well.
stay away from major metro areas and you will be fine. The liberalism and crime are getting out of control. I lived in San Marcos for 3 years and moved out in 2020. I would not recommend living there unless you are a young college student
I just finished traveling through Ft Worth/Dallas/Houston with completely old days interactions — no masks— handshakes —-just like days of old —- don’t know about Austin?!?
We also In Colorado, but not originally from TX. I spent some Time there when I was in the military, and were thinking about escaping to there as well.
I’m pretty sure those of us thinking along those lines number in the thousands.
Whatever you do, get out of CO. It is all I think about.
My adult kids live in Cibolo and I’m there a lot - daughter wants to move back to stone oak/ Timberwood Park area but doesn’t hate Cibolo— very laid back , nice community ambiance
This brings up a good question? What do the unvaxxed call this awful event that has happened to us over the last 2 years? Should be keep reminding the whole population 80 years later. Make all the children feel guilty? They tried to kill us. The Lefties did their best to encourage the Genocide.
What have you heard about them cracking down on mandates in CO? Me and my husbands work already mandated the vax months ago but we were able to get a religious exemption. I’m sure they’re going to do the schools next but I haven’t heard anything beyond that.
Hour and a half east of Dallas, small town. Completely back to normal except for the occasional weirdo or old person wearing masks out in public. I’d stay away from Houston and def away from Austin unless you want gayness shoved down your throat. Actually I’d stay away from all big metro areas. Last time I was in Dallas, it was nutty too, even though our small town had gone back to normal 6 months earlier. Housing market was 100 a sq ft up until about a year ago, 140 a sq ft now.
I just moved to Gonzales, I love it! most people don’t wear masks.
I live NE of Houston.

Fren, respectfully... Stay there and FIGHT.
God chooses the place that he has planned for you to battle.
Q said "don't leave the battlefield" and while I know he means digital, this still applies.
If you fight hard there you may just win, if not then yeah come down to Texas the border needs fighters here too.

A tactical retreat is a honorable move, General Washington did it, so can you. I'm looking at Texas myself.
Understood. Cya soon.😉

Its mostly just the liberal metro inner cities that are still masking. The suburbs do some but less as each day passes. And the rural areas even less.
All of those areas are blue. I’m in north Texas (30 mins from OK border) and NOBODY wears one.
I’m retired so can’t speak to employer conditions.

Pretty much anywhere that's not Austin, Dallas, San Antonio or Houston.
Covid is old news in lubbock, tx. no one cares or does things differently anymore

Evergreen. How on earth did I end up in deep blue?? Rainbow signs everywhere- virtue signaling is the norm.
I really thought the Springs would be safe.... It assure seems that there is nowhere we can escape.
Also — new Braunfels-/ Cibolo is good
