I recommend meditation. Let go of the narrative and listen to what the Truth has to say.
Some people find meditation in the act of prayer. If the prayer is repetitive, it can bring about a meditative state in the same way as focusing on breathing. The main point is to let go of all the words, thoughts, and ideas; the narrative that enters your mind. Let them float away as they enter, don't hold on to them.
Only when you aren't speaking can you hear what the Truth has to say to you.
When I was a little boy, I wanted to be a pastor. I’d stand on the steps of our apartment building and preach based on the sermons we’d heard that day. And people listened because they were happy a cute little kid was excited about God. As I got older I explored other beliefs. I’m interested in Norse Mythology because of my ancestors. Everyone acts like if we don’t believe in the same religion we are supposed to dislike each other. But I don’t dislike anyone. In fact I believe that maybe they are both true. I theorize that Ragnarök (the end of all things) has already happened and that the rebirth with the two survivors after is Genesis. The survivors could be what we know as Adam and Eve. Yggdrasil could be the tree bearing fruit in the Garden of Eden. I would theorize that Leviathan is Jormungandr the world serpent but Jormungandr dies during the events of Ragnarok. My point here is that I believe that agnostics, and people of different religions all sort of believe the same thing. They just call it something different based upon their respective cultures. Who is to say that we don’t all believe the same story without even realizing it? Talk to the universe like OP says, because whether it’s to God, or Odin, or Buddha, or whoever, the Universe listens regardless.
How are we supposed to get past the internal conflict that says to do as you say is to surrender a part of your commitment to truth to a personal ritual of submission to a willingness to delusion and wishful thinking? It's a big step through a wide door
Does he? If i were the king of earthly kingdoms and lord of lies I'd snatch the sentiment and misguide it, not deflect it.
There are cruel Christians filled with judgment and urges of vengeance and whole churches dedicated to that gnashing teeth in hell spirit.
I reject the sentiment first from my nature, which rejects very emotionally any mortal invocation of God. Really it violates the 1st commandment when i think about it. Also the pro prayer people overlap w public prayer people and Jesus said DONT PRAY IN PUBLIC
So its suspicious to me and idolatrous and dubious, even discussing prayer, and makes me naturally question the motive of th invocator. And im dead ass sure God made me an arrow head of doubt and inquisitions and a lover of truth for its own sake.

This is like people that say they can't meditate.
You'd be surprised.
Prayer can be even easier than that.

Please recognize that you are only annoying me.
We may be on the same team. Please try to not antagonize.
Otherwise, you are a shill. This post has NOTHING to do with Q.
