You should read the entire issue if possible, as it explains the moral conscience. snippets:
" . . practical reason makes evident that vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation, and that, therefore, it must be voluntary."
"This right to choose is itself intrinsically good and is part of being in the image and likeness of God. As such, this right to choose is more important than the power of authority to impose a mandate about a human institution." [don't worry it explains that conscience is to choose good and abortion is intrinsically evil.]
so-called "common good": . . . the individual good of each person can never contradict the good common to all; and the common good can never violate the good of an individual. . . . an individual good and the common good are not opposed, cannot be in opposition, and the common good derives from the individual good."
"common good" - this is something that I find so hard to deal with when I speak to other people. Some people believe we should a be vaxxed because "one death is one too many." I asked them if they drive a car.
OK then, obesity is a matter of common good. The most vocal people in favour of the mandates are obese, in my experience. Why should people who look after their bodies be responsible for fatties who cannot control their eating habits?
