Just had to purchase a new vehicle because mine was gasping its last, and I figured buying a car was better than getting my unrealized gains taxed.
The new Mazdas, Acuras, and Mitsubishis all have cameras that monitor your driving.
They claim it’s just to tell you if you’re fatigued based on your facial expressions and eye movements. It flashes a warning that you “need to take a break.”
This is SUCH bull. I’m sick of being watched and monitored in everything I do.
Can only disconnect alerts. Doesn’t tell me where the camera is actually located.
You have to do a little internet research and find a knowledgeable mechanic that knows how to read an electrical diagram and disconnect it without affecting the car's other functions. He will have to pull apart the dash and maybe more (it won't be cheap)
I've had my OnStar disconnected and bypassed my car's autostop function. I hate being tracked. Good luck.
Thank you for this info!! I’ll try to find someone.
