Conservatism has never meant cheap labor and cheap nannies.

It has always meant 'preserve what is good and right, because those things are hard to build and easy to destroy".

Also, "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". I let you live in peace, you let me live in peace. Liberty is freedom FROM government, within the boundaries of civility and good behavior. The government exists simply to defend the nation, not dictate every aspect of people's lives. The pursuit of happiness is my ability to take hold of whatever opportunity is out there and make my family's life good by it. No filters, no manipulation, sink or swim by one's own merit and industry. This is all worth preserving and conserving.

Funny, if we had just stuck to the 10 Commandments, we wouldn't be in such a fix.
