I never said I don't have dirt if it came to me running for office. I've smoked weed, am not Christian, go to AA meetings sometimes. Typically that's not the kind of candidate who would even win mayor. If you want to discuss such things I'll be happy to, I'll own up to such things, and you're right that such things are often relatable, and addiction is a disease that affects all sorts of people across all spectrums. But when you set the very low bar of not committing adultery (which wouldn't keep you from owning a gun) or not dressing up as Hitler (still wouldn't stop one from owning a gun), it's easy to be squeaky clean.
