No disrespect intended, just the opposite. Maybe it's a regionalism, but a lot of vets around here address another vet, like seeing a baseball cap with NAVY on it, say, "Hey there, Navy." ...or "Army"... etc. I wear my USMC hat or tshirt, I get "Hey jarhead" or "Marine"... it's a thing around here.
