Egotistical
having, showing, or arising from an exaggerated sense of self-importance
Just got over COVID a couple weeks ago and wanted to comment about how a large percentage of vaccinated people seem to have an exaggerated sense of self importance over this 'vaccine'. What's crazy is it is not just the lefty liberal who acts that way normally, it is ordinary people who actually look down at you because they took the shot and you didn't.
You can hear it in their voice when they ask 'did you take the vaccine'? You are almost ready to hear Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, you got sick. Or what they really want to say is how smart they are and how stupid you are for not taking a 'safe and effective' vaccine...which is obviously 'safe and effective' because 1) the TV told them to take it and 2) they are perfectly fine.
The brainwashing has reached unprecedented levels and now is coupled with some sort of pride in your decision to be sheered with the rest of the sheep.
As if the masks weren't bad enough in created bunch of self important weaklings with new found power their mighty mask gave them to lash out at anyone who doesn't comply with their feelings. Now we have a whole other group who wear their vaxxed status like a big tattoo, while they look down at you from their self aggrandized perch above all us dummies.
I think it is mostly just programming of attitudes via the MSM media and the social media.
They are very good at getting subtle messages across. That un-vaxxed people are ignorant uneducated rednecks who will not believe any science. I think that they are trying to form the impression that unvaccinated people are dirty spreaders of the virus who are ruining everything for the people that obey all the rules.
I don't think this is working as well as you think. It is only a matter of time before it becomes obvious to the normies how ineffective the vaccine is against the virus. Hopefully it also becomes clear how unsafe it is.
The people refusing the vaccine also might not be lining up so well with the image that the corporate media is trying to create.
Many people are standing on the principles of bodily autonomy and human rights.
If someone is able to pronounce the word “autonomy”, and use it correctly in a sentence, it is hard to continue to see that person as an uneducated redneck.
Owen Benjamin made a great persuasion suggestion that we refer to Covid not as a “mass hysteria” but a “moral panic”.
Moral panic is effective because it reframes the whole thing for the left. To them they hear the word “moral” and they want to run away. They don’t want the association.
Moral panic is also less aggressive, so it doesn’t cause Covidians to immediately become defensive and dig into their position.
