Unpopular opinion:
I am not particularly supportive of Kyle because I believe he made a very poor choice to be running around in the dark with a rifle during a riot. I'm not saying he had no right to defend himself. He absolutely did. I just don't like the whole thing. Why the fuck was he there?
He got called to defend someone's property and was providing first aid to those attacked by the rioters and putting out fires.
You're right, this is unpopular, because you just need to google anything about the case. He was there to protect his friends business from arson/looting, administering first aid, cleaning graffiti, and stopping flaming dumpsters from blowing up gas stations. These are all perfectly fine reasons to be able to walk around...
He lived many miles away in a different state.
Are you saying he had friends there and wanted to protect their businesses?
I live in a rural area. Everything is more than a 30 minute drive.
Yeah, it’s called being an American. I personally have no problem with a fellow American standing up for what most would never have the courage to do in the first place.
Yes.
You got it. In the 2024 riots we should all be like him.
Even protecting fellow Americans regardless of friendships is honorable. Also another unpopular opinion to some
One could argue he has a big heart and wanted to protect businesses. Many others have given their lives doing the same. That retired police chief comes to mind, was defending his friends pawn shop or something during the BLM riots and was killed.
It was a stupid but arguably brave decision.
David Dorn. May he rest in peace. His bravery, honor and integrity will not be forgotten.

So the couple who stood their ground in St Louis, their house wasn't burned down. Stand your ground.
You probably should have all the information about what happened before forming your opinion.
