If you got denied an exemption, you should not have asked in the first place, BUT that doesn't change the fact that you still don't need their permission.

If your employer fires you for refusing to comply, sue for discrimination. This is a civil rights violation plain and simple and the argument can be made for such firing being criminal as well.

I would like to ask the community to rally and share resources, contacts, anyone willing to take these cases. Yes, I'm probably going to need a lawyer, but I'm not opposed to guidance for self filing.

This bullshit has gone too far, but to quote V, "to find who's to blame you need only look in the mirror." But it's also far from too late. Time to take a stand. Will you join me?
