Kundalini. Long before. It was called other things in the past, like the serpent or dragon energy.

Ie; Jesus and Moses 'raised the Serpent' according to the Bible.

Original sin placed the serpent horizontal, eating dust (destroying/consuming mankind)

Raising or lifting the serpent energy is mental ascension.

Look at the cadeuceus symbol. It represents enlightenment. That is Moses staff, and Jesus on the cross.
