I use a Keurig, but have a French press as well, so pods or whole/ground coffees are workable. I need some recommendations for coffee companies so I don't have to order through Amazon and can support directly. I like variety and love dark roasts.
Any suggestions? Can we start a compilation of based American suppliers for different needs?
not black rifle coffee
Definitely not.
Anyone happen to know how much loss of customers BRCC. experienced?
Although not a perfect indicator, it looks like their website took a 30% hit to traffic...

Sweet Marias, based in Seattle, import coffee beans from all over the world. They sells mostly unroasted green coffee but also roasted: Sweetmarias.com.
Thanks!!

Hahaha! Thanks!!
Don't know about "based" coffee sources, but learn how to cold brew your own coffee and it will change your coffee drinking forever. I bought a brewer, made in Japan, a few years ago. I buy whole bean coffee -- Sumatra is very good, Central American dark roasts are also great -- and grind them to Espresso fineness. Place the grounds in the infuser and slowly let the infuser sink into the carafe full of filtered water. Screw on the top, give it a few good shakes, and put it in the fridge overnight.... at least 12 hours, but 18 hours makes it even stronger.
Next day, pour out about a quarter cup of the concentrate into a cup and top off with filtered water. (Don't try to drink the concentrate...it's POWERFUL STUFF! I'm a dedicated strong coffee drinker, and the concentrate is way too stout for me.). Heat the cup in a microwave for about 2 min., just don't let it boil.
Cold brewing reduces the acidity by around 75%, and it allows the natural sweetness of coffee to come out. You might think that you've put sugar into the coffee, it can be that sweet tasting.
I've found that even cheaper coffees, like Bustelo and Eight O'Clock coffee, can be quite good if cold brewed.
Thanks!! I like my coffee black, so any sweetness may throw me off at first. ;)
Starting Strength author and strength training coach, Mark Rippetoe, recommends buying the dried green beans and roasting them yourself.
He says the greens beans that every company buys will last for months, but once roasted they only are best for 2 days.
If you aren't even into weight training check him out. He talks a lot about being a business owner in an economy crippled by tyranny.
Thanks!!
Just saw these guys on Gab:

I have tried this and it’s pretty tasty. I also ordered a trump mug from them, which had a made in China sticker on the bottom. Good coffee, but that was my last order. Stocking mill coffee is the way to go
Thanks!!
Can't vouch for these guys, but they're local and apparently based.

Coffee is naturally sweet if you don't heat brew it. The first cup of cold brewed coffee I had was WONDERFUL, and I haven't gone back.
