Forgiveness is for those who repent only...and forgiveness does NOT relieve the wrongdoer of the responsibility of paying the price of his wrongdoing. You can forgive a murderer, but they must still serve their sentence.

Easy, high-minded "I forgive you"s to unrepentant thugs is sickening.
